One of the most beautiful pieces of music in my personal library is the above arrangement by Andre Riue. It sits along side "Nella Fantasia", "Vide Cor Meum" , and "Now we are Free" ~ [link] ~ by Lisa Kelly from the film "Gladiators".
Thank you so much for sharing this Mike, it is lovely and inspiring
hmmm.as much as i love mozart, and performing it as well, cosi does not even come close to being even his finest . don giovanni,il nozze di figaro, and of course, beethovens favorite opera, die zauberflote, all have numerous selections that far surpass . curious your pick, but then again, noones personal taste in music is wrong . cant ever go bad with mozart . look at my you tube for something i did, the hostias from faure requiem . its not exactly mozart, but for a recent example of beauty, it too, aint bad . i sang opera for a living so i am kinda bias , but hell, i love gershwin too
its at the bottom of everyone of my replies. or just look me up on you tube under the single word hopplemanor . theres a few there my wife stuck up, but i recommend the faure requiem selection . thank you
