Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

It's a very nice gallery, but all of this work with layered textures should be in digital darkroom, not the general photography categories. So Artistic Nudes is the wrong place for them.

My advice is based upon my experience as a Gallery Moderator for the Artistic Nude photography gallery (position which I held through June of this year). So I am not expressing to you personal feelings but information regarding the setup of deviantART's art gallery structures, gained through experience as an informed member and a former site administrator.

Please visit the definition of the PHOTOGRAPHY gallery, which is the parent of the Artistic Nude gallery. Submissions to a sub-gallery are refinements of the conditions of the parent galleries they fall under, as follows:

"Gallery Info: Artistic Nude

High quality fine art photography that makes use of a nude or partially nude human subject.

Gallery Info: People & Portraits

Photographs of people, including portraits and photographs depicting human nature and emotion.

Gallery Info: Photography

Photographs taken with a film or a digital camera featuring a minimal amount of colour and exposure adjustment."

Feel free to contact the Help Desk, or one of the current Photography Gallery Moderators - I'd recommend ^Tiganusi - for more information about the way digital texturing and filtering apply to the digital darkroom category.
