The Slow Decay of Time

This is a truly evocative picture. The title captures it perfectly and the fact that it is in black and white adds to the sense of slow decay. Decay is there in two senses, the real slowness of the mountains eroding and the comparatively fast decay of the man made buildings in front. It is a very full shot without being in any way overcrowded. It speaks of the harsh lives of the people who would have inhabited the houses, hard rock behind them and bog in front of them. The composition, perspective and depth are perfect. You did what you are always preaching, "see the shot and take it" and you certainly took a wonderful shot there. Congratulations
